Pauline Lucas

Phoenix Yoga and Meditation and Mayo Clinic
Pelvic Health PT, Yoga Therapist, Women's Health Coach
"My life's work is to be a bridge builder-by sharing the wisdom of yoga with the world of conventional medicine, and the science of medicine with the world of yoga."
Pauline Lucas is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and a Board Certified Women’s Health Clinical Specialist and Health Coach, who received her initial physical therapy training in the Netherlands. After going through a life changing experience with breast cancer, she learned first-hand the benefits of yoga and meditation as part of the healing process. Her strong desire to share what she had learned from her own journey motivated her to become a certified yoga instructor, mindfulness and meditation teacher through McLean Meditation Academy in Sedona Arizona, a board certified health and wellness coach, and professional yoga therapist through Professional Yoga Therapy Institute in North Carolina. Dr. Lucas has been practicing at the Mayo Clinic in Arizona for the past 17 years as an Integrative Physical Therapist, specializing in female pelvic health issues. She has created a unique approach by integrating yoga and meditation with more conventional physical therapy methods. She is involved in various initiatives and research activities related to yoga therapeutics. Dr. Lucas is the creator and instructor for "Basic Meditation at Mayo Clinic"-a meditation training for Mayo Clinic employees and patients. She is a frequent presenter for local and regional medical and physical therapy conferences, and a national speaker with recent presentations at the American Physical Therapy Association’s Combined Sections Conference. Dr. Lucas is a faculty member for the Mayo Clinic School of Medicine in Arizona. She is the founder of Phoenix Yoga and Meditation LLC.
