Gentle/Restorative Yoga with Yoga Nidra
In this spiritually oriented yoga practice we find our center. Through gentle mindful breath and movement, followed by restorative yoga, we allow the body-mind to relax and release. Class closes with a 25 minute Yoga Nidra (guided supine meditation experience); a potent and ancient practice for directing our senses inward. Our essence is peace and ease…and through the passive opening of the body, and focused attention, we can experience this truth. Open to any level of student, this practice attends to the balancing of the Central Nervous System, aiming at homeostasis, where healing can happen. Our lives are often full of stimulation, chaotic noise, and long to-do lists, leading to whirlwinds of thoughts and concerns. In this mindfulness based practice we begin to re-train the brain to slow down, regain focus on the task at hand, and return to Presence. The gift of Being in the Now offers a release from anxiety, worry and stress…and this is where true Yoga exists.

The Band of Now

The Band of Now is more an idea than a group. Our focus is on sharing our gifts, Kirtan & Raja Yoga, with all who would receive them. And to recognize fully our equal-ness in our togetherness, and the power of co-creating when our focus is in the heart! Together we create as One... Read More →

BodyLove Yoga
Limited Capacity seats available

BodyLove classes are about embracing all body types, and especially welcome curvy people, queer people, people of color, and ALL genders & ALL sizes. The emphasis of these classes are around self-love. Loving where your body is at, noticing where you need growth, challenge, strength, but also noticing where there is ease, where there is comfort and where there is love. If we all love our bodies a little more, think about the impact that can have in our immediate circles, and the world. Things we focus on in classes: - Tapping into your breath (pranayama) and deep relaxation - How to find ease in your body through movement and postures (asana) -Learning how to listen to your body through dynamic (some dancing) and sustained asana. -Finding what feels good to move in your body using self massage and mantra exercises. -Finding your inner self worth and love for your body. How to bring that into your daily life. We will not be: -In pain! Sometimes you need to go to a yoga class to realize you need to rest. -Not a lot of up and down on the mat. We work in chunks - sitting, standing and lying down.
