Energize Chakra with Love, Joy, Peace, Compassion
Chakra is a Sanskrit word that literally means “wheel” or “turning”. These energy points can be visualized as spinning focal points that both receive and transmit energy. Through concentrating on your seven chakras, you are able to “spin” these points, thus moving energy to nourish your body and the environment. Chakras are the fundamentals to understanding the practice of Yoga. Energizing chakra with love, joy, peace, and compassion increases your energy. You consciously follow the physical direction to stimulate and balance chakras. The experiences vary to accommodate your need at that point in time. You align with Divine Consciousness in real time. You give permission to allow divine consciousness to meet you where you are in that moment. There is a broad and universal frequency that allows and encourages you to expand. The Divine Consciousness frequency then aligns with the needed healing, creating a customized healing experience. Imagine the potential within you to play in a protected and expanded space. In other words, there is direct healing, nurturing, and a protected path to personally expand in an infinite way, incorporating physics and higher vibrational realities!

8:30am

Shakti Naam, Aromatherapy, + Live Music with TCG
Shakti Naam is a new form of yoga in the West, which has evolved to help with todays stresses and fast-paced, yet sedentary lifestyles. The teachings and techniques are not new, but rather taken from far back traditions of Sukshma Vyayama known as the yoga of immortality. It is a powerful yogic science that allows the body to heal itself, and therefore express its fullest potential. The practice of Shakti Naam looks and feels different than other forms of yoga , as it combines breath work, mudras, sound, asanas, mantra and mediation. It provides an almost immediate experience of new energies. New students usually feel this shift within the first five minutes of class. As we age, the life force within begins to deteriorate leaving us vulnerable to psychological and physical ailments. Shakti Naam causes the life force to flow through the body-removing blockages, cleaning and clearing. It promotes rejuvenation and clarity of mind and body. You become a radiant, magnetic being as it allows you to merge with and become the life force in action......want to try it? Raise your voltage and tune into your Shakti vibration with this transformational experience. Naam is the frequency that connects us as One. Get ready to chant, breathe, dance, and shift into your highest potential. With the guidance of the plants and the trees, this experience will send you to a mystical and majestic portal of the heart. Open and expand your entire Being with Shakti Naam Yoga set to the live rhythms of "The Conscious Groove", and anointed with the very powerful Wisdom of the Earth medicine. All Levels Are Welcome!

Body Love: Creating a Respectful and Kind Connection between Body and Mind
Limited Capacity seats available

The practice of yoga is to still the fluctuations of the mind. Yet to really settle the mind, we must begin in the body. The body can often feel like a “minefield” when we really drop into it, as stored in our tissues are “our issues”. Trauma, memories, and emotion are all housed in the cells of our body. Whatever your current relationship to your body, this class is designed to foster deep respect for the body and deep listening to its messages. Using pranayama, slow and mindful asana, meditation, and sankalpa, we will work on allowing the body to catch up with the mind.

Working with Difficult Emotions
Limited Capacity seats available

Everyone has had the experience of feeling controlled by strong emotions, which can lead to further difficulties. How can we learn to work with the wisdom inherent in these emotions without letting them do harm to ourselves or others? If we consider our own experience, we usually realize that trying to "control" our emotions doesn't help in the long run, nor does acting out based on them. In Vajrayana Buddhism it is said that emotions have the co-emergent properties of both wisdom and confusion. How can we learn to separate them so that we are using the wisdom without acting out the confusion? This session will give practice with several contemplative practices from Buddhist traditions to help us learn to work with our emotions skillfully. We don't need to demonize our difficult emotions, nor do we need to be controlled by them. The practices offered are powerful, and range in difficulty (over and above the inherent difficulty of trying to learn new emotional habits), but there should be something for everyone. Warning: These practices put us into direct contact with difficult and unresolved emotions, and this will not be the right space for helping people to cope with what may arise. If you may need more support than you can give yourself, please make a plan for that.

Experiencing The power and heart of the White Buffalo and White Buffalo Calf Woman
Limited Capacity seats available

After attempting to make a homeopathic remedy from the frequency of a pregnant White Buffalo in Flagstaff, I discovered that the one I had made from her shed fur carried powerful highly spiritual frequencies. These were best transmitted during meditation. Their blessings and effects have amazed me and others. Many, including myself, actually felt the presence and blessings of White Buffalo Calf Woman, and an amazing peace and love opening the heart chakra. Since then I have told Her story (White Buffalo Calf Woman) and used the spray in many groups and ceremonies. In this session we will explore my story with Her, Her story, and then Her Essence with the special mist Essence that opens us to her magic. Everyone is blown away with the experience- even those who have never meditated. Her Essence also has strong healing properties for pain, and tight, sore muscles and joints. Spraying it topically makes certain yoga postures easier for those who have problems with them too. while best used during meditation, it can also be used for fussy children and adults out of sorts with their heart chakras! The presentation will include  a meditation with the Essence mist for everyone, ending with a healing for the planet in the true spirit of the White Buffalo and her message of unity and the healing of Mother Earth.

Gentle/Restorative Yoga with Yoga Nidra
In this spiritually oriented yoga practice we find our center. Through gentle mindful breath and movement, followed by restorative yoga, we allow the body-mind to relax and release. Class closes with a 25 minute Yoga Nidra (guided supine meditation experience); a potent and ancient practice for directing our senses inward. Our essence is peace and ease…and through the passive opening of the body, and focused attention, we can experience this truth. Open to any level of student, this practice attends to the balancing of the Central Nervous System, aiming at homeostasis, where healing can happen. Our lives are often full of stimulation, chaotic noise, and long to-do lists, leading to whirlwinds of thoughts and concerns. In this mindfulness based practice we begin to re-train the brain to slow down, regain focus on the task at hand, and return to Presence. The gift of Being in the Now offers a release from anxiety, worry and stress…and this is where true Yoga exists.

Mantras, Mudras, Malas
Limited Capacity seats available

A saying from the Vedas claims that "Speech is the essence of humanity." All of what humanity thinks and ultimately becomes is determined by the expression of ideas and actions through speech and writing. Ideas remain un-actualized until they are created through the power of speech. MANTRA are words or phrases repeated over and over again to bring about the vibration and/or resonance of action. Bascially, our thoughts become words, our words create vibration, that vibration creates our life. The simple, beautiful hand expressions called MUDRAS, play a vital but subtle role in the yoga tradition. There are hundreds of mudras, each meant to express or bring forth a quality state of mind such as fearlessness, strength or grounded-ness. They are believed to have a therapeutic effect, helping to restore and heal imbalances, eliminating excess tension, strengthening weak immunity and addressing aches and pains. What is a MALA? Malas are beautiful, they are the “yoga-bling” that yogis gravitate toward to “be a yogi”. The term mala is derived from the Sanskrit word “Japamala,” which is a string of beads used for prayer and meditation by Hindus and Buddhists (similar to the concept of a Rosary in the Catholic faith). The string is made up of 108 individual beads, which are used to keep count while chanting or repeating a mantra while meditating. The number 108 has spiritual significance and is considered sacred in the Hindu religion. The number 1 stands for God, the Universe, the Divine, or your Ultimate Truth; 0 stands for emptiness and humility in your spiritual practice; and 8 stands for infinity and timelessness. 1+8 = 9 which is an extremely auspicious number in numerology. The beginning and the end… rebirth. In this workshop we will explore simple MUDRAS for healing, MANTRA for prayer and connection, and MALAS and how they can support your practice. All levels of yogis welcome, enrollment includes a set of mala beads. Workshop includes a 90 minute Vinyasa practice, pranayama, meditation, mantra and lecture. Includes 60-120 minutes asana practice, followed by lecture.

Sunrise Sun Salutation
Limited Capacity seats available

The best time to do the sun salutation is in the early morning when the sun is between the anahata chakra (at the heart) and ajnachakra (between the eyebrows). Surya means “the sun” and namaskar means “bow or prostration.” In ancient times, surya namaskar was a bhakti, or devotional practice. It was practiced while repeating 12 mantras, thanking the sun for the qualities it gives, allowing us to live on this planet.

If we do the sun salutation when the sun is low in the sky, directly facing the sun, we will feel the sun directly touching the different chakras, awakening them. It can be a very empowering experience. The whole process becomes a give-and-take with the sun. It can be practiced with intentions and devotion. Each graceful pose connects us with the sun and moves the sun’s prana, or shakti, (energy) through our chakras to awaken our own inner energy.

The 12 postures in the Sivananda sequence performed while facing the low sun make sense energetically. In the first posture, pranamasana, we gather the sun’s rays in front of heart. In the next, hasta utthanasana, we can feel the sun entering our heart. In the third posture, padahastasana, we offer our breath and a bow to the sun as the sun warms our lower back. In the fourth, ashwa sanchalasana, we can feel the sun opening our throat chakra to sweeten our words. In the next, kumbhakasana, we line up with the sun, becoming a channel of light. In the sixth and ultimate pose, ashtanga namaskar, we have eight parts of the body on the earth with the manipura chakra (at the solar plexus) in the air to charge up our solar plexus. And in the next pose, bhujangasana, we feel the sun touching between the eyebrows at ajna chakra, opening our intuition.

In this workshop we will learn the 12 steps of the sequence and learn the connection with our own energy centers, see how they can awaken our spirituality with the use of mantras.

Come As You Are: A Workshop to Empower You to Connect to Your Authentic Self
Limited Capacity seats available

The Tantric practice sees all aspects of life as a form of consciousness. Inherent in each being is a divine spark that is perfection at its essence. As we grow and develop, we lose that sense of connection to our most authentic self and believe that we have to become someone or something different than who we are internally. In this workshop, Sarah will create a safe space for you to start to look at that narrative of “not good enough” and apply a new paradigm using Tantric tools and techniques. Learn to welcome the present moment as it is, experiencing images, sensations, thoughts, and emotions not as barriers to pure consciousness, but as pathways to enhancing it. Accompanied by the soothing and harmonizing vibrations recorded by Aya and Tyler, this elevating practice will leave you intrinsically tuned in to your true self.

Anahata Chakra Yoga: The Union of Shiva & Shakti
Limited Capacity seats available

Take a journey in this kundalini yoga class using yantra (symbolism), mantra (sound) and asana (posture) to explore the world through the lens of the Heart center. In classical kundalini, the chakras represents an initiation or doorway into a state of consciousness that progresses from root to the crown. The combination of asana, mantra and yantra in a practice amplifies and accelerates the activation of Shakti in the Anahata illuminating what we have stored and offering a way to transform old patterns. As the 4th chakra, it is the bridge between the material and the spiritual worlds. Our evolution as individuals and collectively depends upon us understanding the partnership between two realms where balance, harmony and longevity exist naturally. It is the most useful and constructive solution to the polarity and divisiveness that permeates all of our relations currently.

ClimateYogi: Healing Our Relationship to the Earth
Human activity is rapidly changing the Earth’s climate, with major implications for all life on Earth. It’s easy to be confused, uncertain about what to do, or overwhelmed by the magnitude of the issue. What does Yoga, with its roots back in the time before industrialized civilization, have to say about our situation? Quite a bit, as it turns out.  From the lessons of Krishna to Arjuna on the battlefield about the imperative of action and the folly of trying to turn away from our dharma and the greatest challenges that face us, to the 8 limbs of Yoga found in the Yoga Sutra of Patanjali that include the ethical principles of the yamas and niyamas, Yoga, in its richness of physical and mental practices, has a great deal to offer us as we face this great challenge of our time – Climate Change. Through asana, pranayama, and meditation, we’ll experience our connection to the causes of climate change, and learn how our yoga practice can help us be a powerful force to bring Earth’s climate back into balance.

RE-MIND: Yoga For A More Resilient Mind
Limited Capacity seats available

Over half of Americans report more stress in their lives than five years ago. Worse, this stress is correlated with increased mental health problems, and one in five American adults, about 42.5 million people, will suffer from depression and/or anxiety in the next year. The philosophies and practices of Yoga provide a time-honored approach for healing the mind, and creating lasting emotional well being and freedom. And current scientific research is finally supporting what yogis have known for centuries: Yoga improves mood, decreases stress, and reduces depression and anxiety. This yoga intensive, taught by a psychologist and yoga teacher, will teach how yoga is a powerful intervention for not only improving mental health but and also cultivating what is best within ourselves. This course is ideal for health professionals (physicians, psychologists, nurses, social workers, therapists) wanting to integrate yoga into their healing work, for yoga therapists, yoga teachers, and anyone wanting increased emotional well being. In this workshop we will: • Review the current research and hypothesized change mechanisms that support the clinical value of yoga techniques for mental health • Contrast yoga vs modern medicine’s view on mental health • Understand the 6 attributes of well-being we all contain, and the 3 limiting beliefs that block our connection with our highest self • Learn and practice the key poses, breath practices, mudras, and meditations that you can quickly implement to shift mood

Loving Self with Loving Sound
Many times we go through life repeating words in our heads over and over to the point where they become gospel….words of not being worthy of love, success, or simply letting ourselves be heard. These mantras become the framework for our lives and the choices we make. Bhakti Yoga helps us replace mantras that may no longer be serving us with new mantras of hope, grace, strength and healing. Bhakti Yoga is a path of yoga that is meant to stir and shine the heart through a path of Devotion. Lets join our voices to help replace what is not necessary with words that can inspire and move us, mind, body and soul!

Sunrise Sun Salutation
Limited Capacity filling up

Qigong movements help improve and maintain health by recharging your Qi/Vitality/Prana/Ki/life force. Qigong recharge by encouraging circulation of lymphatic, cardio, and all fluids/energies in the body. A healthy river is one that moves. Some 70% of a human body is water. If the fluids are not moving properly, the body becomes stagnant. Qigong can help you: • Release stress by reaching Wuji or balance. • Improve circulation of the cardio and lymphatic system. • Breathe the right way and move the right way. • Activate your core energies. • Cultivate your own Qi with this practice (increase energy). • Be sensitive to your own Qi after practice vs. prolonged practice. • Strengthen digestive functions – ease constipation. • Reduce waistline. • Sleep well. • Prolong your life with quality living. • Strengthen your bones, joints, and tendons. • Reduce risk of accidental falls with better balance.

The Trauma-Conscious Yoga Method℠: Inner Child Practice
Limited Capacity seats available

Nityda has a unique way of creating a sacred space that feels safe for doing deep healing work within the asana practice. The Trauma-Conscious Yoga Method℠ integrates yin yoga and gentle vinyasa flow with somatic psychotherapy techniques, always from a heart-centered & trauma-aware space. In this practice Nityda will create such a safe, sacred space to empower you to approach your chid within from a gentle and compassionate embodiment. This practice is critical in fostering self-compassion and moving through and past samskaras (faulty self-reflective beliefs and patterns that keep us stuck). This practice is intended to enable you to discharge from the body, mind and spirit, traumas that have remained trapped within. This practice will inspire new insights and evoke shifts in consciousness that support your healing and personal evolution, and connection to your highest Self. The asana portion of this practice is appropriate for all levels, including absolute beginners. We will integrate gentle vinyasa flow with longer yin-style holds and restorative postures with the use of supportive props. Nityda will guide you through internal dialogues and contemplative practices within the asana that are inspired by her training in Somatic Experiencing, Internal Family Systems and EMDR therapy. This practice includes pranayama and meditation. Nityda is conscious of the common triggers for trauma survivors and so she always provides disclaimers and offers variations and differing options for those who may be triggered by breathwork and/or closing their eyes. Expect this class to feel like a combination of yoga and therapy and to be highly transformative.

Emotions are messages. Meditate to listen
Limited Capacity seats available

Our physical body is tangible to the touch. Our emotions are messages from our body, mind, and spirit. Meditation is the bridge between all aspects of ourself. By quieting the physical body, we give our mind and spirit an opportunity to listen to the internal dialogue between all aspects of ourselves. In this class, Leah will offer two meditations. The first on the basic act of listening to and connecting to our senses and body. The second meditation offers an experience that, by placing attention in a particular area of the body it can reduce emotions such as anxiety and increase emotions like confidence. We begin from the outside and work our way in. We start with the tangible confidence in our physical body as we explore the more subtle aspects of our feelings. So that we are present and aware in our body, mind, spirit ; to awaken in life with expanded awareness. For without awareness we are blindly moving though life. For example, lets say you are confronted with trauma or pain and you do not have a reference point to your mind and emotions to guide you through this challenging time. Meditation will give you that reference point. It is a viable life tool that you can add to your life tool kit, and best thing is! that you can use it any way that you choose. To further enhance your life during the best times and the times of struggle. Come to this class to experience your true nature. That of joy, peace and love.

Within all of us is a primal self—a beautiful animal body that is waiting to be unleashed. Release energetic blockages in a profoundly deep way through this yoga practice that balances the energy of the Divine Feminine and Sacred Masculine. Primal Tribal Flow, inspired by traditional Vinyasa and modern Buti Yoga, will have you moving with your breath to the inner rhythm of your own body, and most of all, create a space for you to LET GO and FEEL. Dive deep into the subtle energy of your body with breath, movement and music. Connect with the tribe around you as you breathe together, dance together, and release together. The Asana is only the beginning—the primal and tribal movement will carry you into deep meditative relaxation and inner bliss!

The Eternal Energy of Yoga: A Master Yoga Class with 99-year-old Tao Porchon-Lynch
The Eternal Energy of Yoga: A Master Yoga Class with 99-year-old Tao Porchon-Lynch is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Still able to defy gravity in poses, Tao started yoga at 8 years old in India and embodies the principles in a very modern and accessible way. In addition to first-hand influence from Mahatma Gandhi and Indra Devi, Tao studied with a Who’s Who of the Spiritual World including Sri Aurobindo, Swami Prabhavananda, Dr. Roman Ostoja, B.K.S. Iyengar, K. Pattabhi Jois and the Maharishi. In this immersive “on-the-mat” session, participants will: Use the four pillars of yoga: pranayama (breath work), mudras (gestures), bandhas (energetic locks) and chakras (energy centers) to explore the rich potential of the body to renew, heal and revitalize. Practice Tao’s special “yoga tango” integrating breath, movement and music, and experience a deeply absorbing meditation–inspiring compassion and inner peace. Learn Tao’s “secrets” to vitality and boundless energy via techniques that are not taught elsewhere. Have the opportunity to ask questions only hindsight and living history can answer. Participants will walk away inspired, strengthened and renewed–ready to energize their yoga practice and craft a vibrant “Tao-like” life! Tao has taught around the world and across the United States at places like the Pentagon, Integral Yoga Institute New York, Omega Institute for Holistic Studies, Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health, as well as local yoga studios such as YogaWorks in New York, Urban Yoga in Phoenix and Mark Blanchard’s Yoga Kansas City (see blog post).

Violin Sound Healing
Limited Capacity seats available

As she opens herself to spirit, Rebecca allows a space for love, light and healing to come through. Entering with her violin into the soundstream, she is intuitively led to create the healing tones and melodies for that sacred space and time. As everyone comfortably reclines in savassana, Yoga Nidra begins, a progressive physical, mental, emotional and spiritual relaxation as she guides yogis deeper and deeper into their inner journey of loving kindness through music and channeled spoken word from higher dimensions. “The pacific [sic] vibrations of live violin music and gently whispered visualizations by Rebecca Sabine... ensure this treatment becomes a threshold to awakening and peace” —Organic Spa Magazine

Neuroscience of Kindness
Limited Capacity full
Adding this to your schedule will put you on the waitlist.

The “Three Noble Truths (TNTs): good thoughts, good deeds, and good speech for healing and meditation. According to the on-going neuroscience research, the TNTs enable you to become happier, more intelligent, promote higher self-control, and getting “in the Zone”. Healing PAQ is using the most advanced neuroscience technology such as EEG (Electro Encephalogram), and fMRI (Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging) to research the influence of TNTs on the human brain. The self-healing guided meditation audio has increased the average brain waves more than 3 times among 60 EEG participants. The silent distance healing video has increased the average brain waves more than 4 times among 60 EEG participants. The fMRI demonstrates an extensive amount of blood flow to the visual cortex and the pre-frontal cortex that is the executive commander of the brain. In this session we practice these techniques as we also discuss the scientific evidence.
