Sunrise Sun Salutation
Limited Capacity seats available

The best time to do the sun salutation is in the early morning when the sun is between the anahata chakra (at the heart) and ajnachakra (between the eyebrows). Surya means “the sun” and namaskar means “bow or prostration.” In ancient times, surya namaskar was a bhakti, or devotional practice. It was practiced while repeating 12 mantras, thanking the sun for the qualities it gives, allowing us to live on this planet.

If we do the sun salutation when the sun is low in the sky, directly facing the sun, we will feel the sun directly touching the different chakras, awakening them. It can be a very empowering experience. The whole process becomes a give-and-take with the sun. It can be practiced with intentions and devotion. Each graceful pose connects us with the sun and moves the sun’s prana, or shakti, (energy) through our chakras to awaken our own inner energy.

The 12 postures in the Sivananda sequence performed while facing the low sun make sense energetically. In the first posture, pranamasana, we gather the sun’s rays in front of heart. In the next, hasta utthanasana, we can feel the sun entering our heart. In the third posture, padahastasana, we offer our breath and a bow to the sun as the sun warms our lower back. In the fourth, ashwa sanchalasana, we can feel the sun opening our throat chakra to sweeten our words. In the next, kumbhakasana, we line up with the sun, becoming a channel of light. In the sixth and ultimate pose, ashtanga namaskar, we have eight parts of the body on the earth with the manipura chakra (at the solar plexus) in the air to charge up our solar plexus. And in the next pose, bhujangasana, we feel the sun touching between the eyebrows at ajna chakra, opening our intuition.

In this workshop we will learn the 12 steps of the sequence and learn the connection with our own energy centers, see how they can awaken our spirituality with the use of mantras.

Goddess within Every Woman
Limited Capacity seats available

The Goddess Within (Every Woman) There is a Goddess residing within every woman: at least one, and I want to teach you how to inspire her to come out and play more!! The Goddess is an aspect of us that is beautiful, fierce, sensual, intuitive, powerful and wise. She is there through our best moments, radiating brightly like the sun. She’s there in our most trying moments, when we’re angry, sad or heartbroken. She is the great supporter. She is the radiant essence of ourselves. But too often there are moments of great self-doubt and self-judgment, when the inner criticism takes over and disconnects you from your true essence. Your true essence is a force of nature, a power-woman, and a bold, sensual ALIVE woman! The Goddess wants to support you from the inside out, are you going to receive her blessings? What would happen if you knew exactly what you want to do, and how to do it? And, what if nothing was wrong? This workshop offers a cornucopia of practical tools, all guided with Hemalayaa’s trademark charm, good humor, yoga, dance, meditation and spiritual transformational exercises to enable you to reach this critical point of being—of embodying your intuitive, sexy, powerful, and radiant truth.
