The practice of yoga is to still the fluctuations of the mind. Yet to really settle the mind, we must begin in the body. The body can often feel like a “minefield” when we really drop into it, as stored in our tissues are “our issues”. Trauma, memories, and emotion are all housed in the cells of our body.
